The Hubby and the Zo-inator left me this evening for a father/daughter adventure to Auntie Gwen’s house. I don’t know why I didn’t go with. Well actually I do, there are two hairy dogs at Auntie Gwen’s (one of which Phil and I used to own) and my allergies and asthma are at their worst when I go over for a visit. I was also in a lazy mood and didn’t feel like my normal social self. So here I am twiddling my thumbs waiting for their return. Now I’m wishing that I’d just gone with and suffered through the sneezing, itchy eyes and barely open airways.
I should totally be ashamed of this, but part of me just KNEW that the hubby wouldn’t dare take Zoe outdoors without her milkmaid. I just knew that he would beg me to go with them out of sheer fear of a potential infant breakdown, and of course I would never let him live it down. I suppose I just wanted to feel needed today.
But, needless to say, he drank an extra dose of chutzpah today and took to the road. And what a coincidence that tomorrow is Father’s Day! I’m pretty impressed actually.
So I have a bit of spare time now. I’ve considered picking up my knitting needles or writing a new song (which I’ve really been meaning to do), but in all honesty I just want to be super unproductive.
I think a trip to Target is totally in order…don’t you?
